Collection FAQs

Are Timberlane Gardens raised beds easy to assemble?
Yes—our mortise-and-tenon design is tool-free and goes together in minutes.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. We ship across the U.S.; local pickup in Homer Glen, Illinois is available.
What type of wood do you use?
We use sustainably sourced, 100% untreated Select Cedar from the Pacific Northwest.
Are Timberlane Gardens raised beds food-safe?
Absolutely. Our raised beds are made from pure, sustainably sourced cedar, naturally rot-resistant, grown in the USA and never treated with chemicals, sealants, or preservatives. That means they’re completely safe for growing vegetables, herbs, and edible plants.
What makes Timberlane Gardens beds different from cheaper ones sold online?
Most beds sold on Amazon and in big-box stores are imported from overseas and made from unknown materials. They often fail to disclose what chemicals or coatings they contain, and many are not food-safe. Timberlane Gardens beds are 100% American-made using untreated, natural cedar—no toxins, no paints, and no compromises.
Are foreign-made raised beds dangerous?
Unfortunately, they can be. Many imported beds use pressure-treated wood, painted composites, or coated metals that can leach arsenic, formaldehyde, or heavy metals into the soil. Those chemicals can end up in your food. That’s why we believe gardeners deserve transparency and clean, safe materials.
Why don’t your beds have a sealant or finish?
Because nature already provides the best protection. Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insects. Chemical finishes may look nice at first but can introduce toxins and shorten the bed’s lifespan. Our beds age gracefully and safely—exactly how nature intended.
Are Timberlane Gardens beds made in the USA?
Yes—proudly. Every Timberlane Gardens bed is handcrafted in Illinois, using American-sourced cedar. Buying from us supports local craftsmanship and ensures full transparency about what’s going into your garden.
